The Campaign comes from the observation of many South Africans who:
- complete their degrees against all odds but can’t graduate because of outstanding fees.
- want to give to good causes but get discouraged because they never see or hear what effect their donation had.
We aim to use the best digital technologies and algorithms to enable easy:
- application by students.
- verification of student by universities.
- sign up of donors who have the option to choose specific student(s) profiles or
- donors can give amount to the platform and have the algorithm chose students for them.
Important:
- 100% of the donation goes straight into university bank account with student number for allocation, not that of the Foundation.
- no student will be overpaid, if fees are lower than allocated amount the platform will reallocate the balance to another student.
- there is an opportunity for student and funder to meet should they both consent.
