By submitting this application, I confirm that I am the data subject (or duly authorised) and I voluntarily consent to the processing of my personal information by the Bongani Mayosi Foundation (“the Foundation”) for the specific purposes of evaluating and administering sponsorship applications, communicating with me about my application, confirming my registration and fees status with my institution, reporting to donors and auditors, and complying with legal and regulatory obligations.
I understand that the Foundation may share only the minimum necessary information with designated and authorised recipients for these purposes, including: the relevant university/tertiary institution, bursary administrators, auditors, payment service providers, and Foundation staff or service providers who are bound by confidentiality and data-protection duties. I also understand that certain non-sensitive information (such as my name, institution, qualification/field of study, brief biography and profile photo) may be made available on this platform to support fundraising and donor reporting.
I have been informed of my rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), including rights to access and correct my information and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. I may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting the Foundation at info@mayosifoundation.org; however, withdrawal will not affect lawful processing already performed. My information will be retained only as long as necessary for the stated purposes and will be safeguarded with appropriate security measures.
